“This is a charming and relaxed hotel in the center of town with comfortable and generously-sized rooms, a pool, and sauna. Breakfast buffet has lots of options: cheeses, meats, delicious breads, yogurts, cereals, and fruits. The super nice staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. If you are staying in the area, I highly recommend!”

“Not the ancient hotel one expects, however, the rooms are large, clean and cheerful. The bathroom also large with a delightful spa bath. Good restaurant, in the historic section. Well appointed, good value.”

“My mother and I stayed here end of November for a girls weekend to relax and visit the Christmas market nearby. We had one of the apartments across the street from the hotel, top floor. The room was spacious with a nice interior and a jacuzzi (which was really nice!). The beds were fine, the room clean and everything we needed was there. The hotel uses down (Daune) bedding and I am allergic, so we asked for synthetic bedding and this was no problem. There were also some defect lamps in the room, but the hotel sent someone to fix it as soon as we mentioned it. Something to take into account is that there is no elevator in the apartment building and the stairs are pretty steep, so if you are a wheelchair user or have trouble with stairs otherwise, you should book a room in the hotel itself which has an elevator. Then on to the compliment section: The staff at the hotel was absolutely amazing. They were all very friendly, requests and questions were no problem and the restaurant staff even remembered our choice of drinks from the day before. I felt really welcome as a guest. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The town is small but there are some nice stores, just as in Bad Iburg and Bad Rotherfelde, which are both nearby. The public transport is good. The salt walls are also worth exploring.”
